Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Which is the right cable for me, IC4 USB or IC4 COM?

A:   This depends on the computer that you plan on using.  If your computer supports the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port and it is running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista then the IC4 USB is the right choice.  If your computer supports the COM (RS-232) port only or it is running Windows 95/98 then the IC4 COM is the right choice.  If your computer supports the USB port only and it is running Windows 95/98 then we recommend that you upgrade your computer to Windows 2000 or XP and use the IC4 USB.
